Hello and welcome to Benjamin E. Mays Elementary International Magnet School.
- This is my fourth year at Benjamin E. Mays and I am enjoying
every minute of it! Previous to this, I taught kindergarten, first
grade and ELL 1-3 in Saint Paul, MN.
- I have earned my bachelors degree from Bemidji State University, my masters in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary's University and working towards my Principal License at the University of MN.
- My husband Andy and I live in the South Metro and have an adorable two Weimereiners, named Maddie and Emma. We spend our leisure time upland hunting, fishing, boating and camping on the St. Croix river. We also enjoy visiting our families "Up North" this allows us to do all the outdoor things we love!
- My hopes and dreams for every child is to be
excited about learning and to leave first grade with a love of reading
and writing. - The Primary Years Programme allows
us to teach children through units of study that use life long skills,
develope positive attitudes, and use an inquiry based learning.
